The kids love this place.  So much hands on stuff to turn and twist and jump on.  Dark spooky corners to poke into, huge glass windows to gaze through and a swing bridge and a glow worm cave as well.

We learnt about recycling, earthquakes, giant moa and money ‘from the olden days’ … ahem, apparently one dollar notes are, like, so olden.  Totally like!

The kids climbed inside a life-size model of a Blue Whale heart, and were very impressed that a blue whale is as big as an aeroplane!

We decided our favourite painting was of a crazy colourful old couch.

I always come away from Te Papa feeling like one of those good parents who provides educational activities to stimulate their children’s brains…

And Ashton says the subway for lunch was actually really awesome as well!
